Indian Kobra
ನಾಗರಹಾವು (Nagara Haavu)

Indian Kobra, also known as the spectacled cobra, Asian cobra, or binocellate cobra, and venomous snake. They are widely spread in India and have a yellow or wheatish appearance. These are relatively small than King Kobra and can grow up to 7 to 8 feet.

King Kobra is a venomous snake, and these are also widely spread in India and southest Asia. As the name says, these are the world's longest snakes and can grow up to 19 feet.

These birds can often be seen in urban, and suburban areas, cultivated agricultural lands, and open grasslands. They are often seen perched on roadside trees or wires and near green cultivated lands. 

They generally eat nuts, seeds, small reptiles, grasshoppers, ground insects, and crickets.

Their breast is brownish and the tail is dark blue. Feathers are a mix of dark blue, light blue, and pale green, and it's a feast to the eyes watching them fly. and It is beautiful to watch the feathers of it while it's flying.

From my childhood, I always heard the marvelous and melodious cockoo voice, but never saw it or observed it. I always heard that its a very shy bird... looks like crow... 


And to my surprise, I got chance to witness the bird coming and sitting in the window side near by elachi hannu tree(Indian jujube fruit's tree). and I was glad that I almost watched this bird's activity for over month until the summer fruit is gone. and Everyday I used to sit at my window to capture this bird's picture  and many other small birds which comes to eat the fruits.
