Tourist Places to visit in Bangalore



Bangalore is known for big malls, shopping complexes, super bazaars, and wonderful amusement parks. Apart from all these malls, busy shopping complexes if you want to visit some places in and around Bangalore here are a few of the places.

 If you are looking for a short trip or 1-day outing or a trip around Bangalore, you have many regular places like including regular spots like

1. Lalbagh: old botanical garden in Bangalore and located near to majestic main bus stop, which has many greeneries with a vast area. it has a glasshouse lake inside it. they also maintain a plant nursery where you can visit and buy many plants and seeds. Many of the native Bangaloreans go for a morning walk in this park. During republic day Lalbagh will have a flower show which is world-famous and attracts lakhs of visitors into it.

2. Cubbon park: This is also one of the old and vast parks.Garden like and this is also located near to majestic main bus stop. This is also called the green lung of the city. it has museums, a toy train, a tennis academy, and an aquarium. this is a perfect place for relaxation with family

3. Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium: this is a scientific and educational planetarium that is a popular attraction in Bangalore and a must-visit place for kids. It has a science theater where they show videos of the solar system and stars. it also has a science gallery, old telescopes, and projection boxes.

4. Vidhana Soudha: this building is an iconic place and is a seat of the state legislature of Karnataka and a must-visit place if you have visited Bangalore. The main person behind the construction of this building was Kengal Hanumantaiah who visited many countries like Paris, Russia, United States and incorporated various architectural designs in it.

5. High court of Karnataka:  this excellent red building is located just opposite to Vidhana soudha and from outside it looks exciting to see a high court view of a well-maintained view of garden around.


6. Sankey tank park: it's a man-made park located near Malleswaram, was built to fulfill Bangalore water supply needs. it has long walking paths and parks which attract many seniors citizens, families, and kids. nice place for morning and evening walks and weekend destinations for short trips and relaxation.


7. Big Banyan tree(Dodda alada mara):
this place has 400-year-old banyan tree and is located in Kethohalli which is around 17 kms away from Bangalore city near to Mysore road. this is the natural home for many Monkeys and birds. banyan tree dropped its areal roots over acres of land and this is one of the short trip locations with family and friends and be aware of monkeys and keep your valuable items safe.


8. Bannerghatta National park:
It's a national park located around 22 km away from Bangalore. This park has a zoo, Butterfly park, and a wide forest area. this Biological park shelters a wide variety of wild animals like Lions, tigers, white tigers, wild bears, deer, and elephants and you can see them from very near in a safari. There will be guided bus tours in the 6km long safari. And it is a good full 1 day outing with the family and friends

9. Pyramid Valley International:  this place is a Buddha meditation center located near kanakapura road, Bangalore. when you travel towards Kanakapura road away from busy Bangalore traffic, this place is located few kilometers after Ravishankar Guruji ashram. and it's a calm, peaceful, pleasant place where you can visit, relax and do meditation. It can be a 1-day short trip location. If you are there around lunchtime, you get a free, otherwise, there is only 1 hotel inside the meditation center which obviously seem too little costly and only a few options to eat. so pack your food if you are too specific. you can also get meditation courses here and also if you decide to stay here there are stay facilities.

10. Ravishankar Guruji Ashram: it's an awesome place on the outskirts of Bangalore. Many places to see in this ashram like Vishalakshi mantap,Devi temple,  vedpathashala, gosala, lake. Apart from visiting and exploring the ashram, the ashram also offers many residential courses from Sudarshan kriya to advanced courses also. One can get Ayurvedic assistance like panchakarma treatment too here. There will be Satsang in the evenings, where youngsters and others gather and sing and dance and meditate to songs of gods and prayers


11. Shivoham Shiva temple:

This temple is located at the heart of Bangalore city on Old airport road. it has 65 feet tall shiva statue seated in yogic posture, 25 feet tall shiva linga, 32 feet tall Ganesh statue, Navagraha temple, a light and snow show, and many other attractions.


12. Iskon Temple

This is a Radha Krishna temple located inside Bangalore city in Rajaji Nagar(in North Bangalore). This is just not the temple, but also the cultural complex housing many other temples inside.
Attractions of this temple are a 56 feet high gold-plated dhwaja-stambha (flag post)  and a 28 feet gold-plated Kalash shikhara. There is a free distribution of Sri Krishna prasadam (Khichdi) to all visitors during the Darshana hours


13. Mahabodhi Loka shanti Buddha Vihara

Its a place for all devotees of Lord Buddha located in Bangalore on Kalidasa Road. there is a temple with a stone stupa in its entrances. This place is also known as the Mahobodi society of Bangalore and is recognized as a charitable organization. It is dedicated to the welfare and happiness of people irrespective of religion, race, and nationality.

There are morning prayers and meditations and all are welcome to join that and Buddhist spiritual and academic studies are conducted here. They have Sangadana that is offering to the community of monks. Instead of big celebrations and birthday parties, people visit this place and do charities and spend time with Mahabodhi society monk kids here and meditate.
 


14. Omkar Hills Shiva temple

It's a small hill temple and religious place located in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, South Bangalore. This is said to be the highest point in Bangalore. It has Dwadasha Jyotirlinga Temple and Sri Matsya Narayana Temple in there and many other temples too.
