Have you ever wondered how many varieties and types of bananas we have around us in Karnataka..!!

I have tried to list some of the most commonly used types here..If you know any other Banana types, please comment below in this post..Happy exploring :) 

1. Nendra Banana(Nendra Bale hannu). It is also called as Kerala Banana since it is grown in Kerala

2.Big Banana-Robusta Banana( Paccha bale Hannu, Chukki Bale hannu)

3. Rasa Bale - It is also called  Nanjana Goodu rasabale, since it is originated from Nanjanagoodu, karnataka. And it is grown around the areas of Chamaraj Nagar and Mysore district of Karnataka. It is of short length but a healthy big sized banana. and its termed as very healthy

4) Elakki Bale Hannu: Smaller in size, used for Pooja and eating purposes mostly.
