Hi Everyone,

In this post, I have tried to list the conversation which can happen while you are waiting for a bus in bus stop or bus depot .  This is for the non Kannada people who wants to learn and wants to start conversation in kannada..Happy Learning..!!!

While waiting for bus in local bus stops in any cities like Bangalore/Mysore:


Person1:
In English:                         Will I get a bus for Jayanagar from this stop?           
Kannada Translation:          Illi jayanagar ge hogo bus barutta..??
Kannada word:                  ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಜಯನಗರ ಗೆ ಹೋಗೊ ಬಸ್ ಬರುತ್ತಾ?


Person2:
In English:                         Yes
Kannada word:                  Houdu
Kannada Translation:         ಹೌದು


Person1:
In English:                        Can you tell me the bus numbers..?         
Kannada Translation:         Bus numbers gottidre heli..??
Kannada word:                  ಬಸ್ ನಂಬರ್ಸ್ ಗೊತ್ತಿದ್ರೆ ಹೇಳಿ..??


Person1:
In English:                        Will you tell me when the bus comes?      
Kannada Translation:         Bus bandaga helthira??
Kannada word:                  ಬಸ್ ಬಂದಾಗ ಹೇಳ್ತಿರ ??


Person2:
In English:                       Ok, I will let you
Kannada word:                 Aythu, heluttini
Kannada Translation:        ಅಯ್ತು, ಹೇಳುತ್ತೀನಿ



If suppose bus doesnt come to the same stop, possible conversation would be:

Person1:
In English:                        Will I get a bus for Jayanagar fro this stop?           
Kannada Translation:         Illi jayanagar ge hogo bus barutta..??
Kannada word:                 ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಜಯನಗರ ಗೆ ಹೋಗೊ ಬಸ್ ಬರುತ್ತಾ?


Person2:
In English:                        No, that bus will not come here
Kannada word:                  illa, aa bus illi baralla
Kannada Translation:         ಇಲ್ಲ, ಆ ಬಸ್ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಬರಲ್ಲ


Person2:
In English:                         You have to cross the road, go to the opposite bus                                             stop
Kannada word:                  neevu road cross madi, eduru bus stop ge hogi
Kannada Translation:         ನೀವು ರೋಡ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ಮಾಡಿ, ಎದುರು ಬಸ್ ಸ್ಟಾಪ್ ಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ



Person2:
In English:                         You wont get direct bus for that area from here.
                                         you need to take 101 bus first, 
                                         and from there get an other bus 
Kannada word:                   Nimage illinda aa area ge direct bus sikkalla. 
                                         neevu modalu 101 bus hatti, 
                                         matte allinda bere bus hattikolli

Kannada Translation:        ನಿಮಗೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಆ ಏರಿಯಾ ಗೆ ಡೈರೆಕ್ಟ್ ಬಸ್ ಸಿಕ್ಕಲ್ಲ. 
                                      ನೀವು  ಮೊದಲು 101 ಬಸ್  ಹತ್ತಿ, 
                                      ಮತ್ತೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬೇರೆ ಬಸ್ ಹತ್ತಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಿ



In English:                       I dont know that. please ask some one else
Kannada word:                 Nanage gottilla. dayavittu bereyavarannu keli
Kannada Translation:        ನನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ಬೇರೆಯವರನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ
